Maple´s appearance
Maple sapwood ranges from white to pale yellow, sometimes creamy brown color, while the heartwood is light in color closer to brown. Maple has irregularly interlocked core.
Maple´s properties
Maple wood has low resistance to rotting, makes no specific smell or odor. Drying wood maple is time-consuming, has a tendency to shrink, sometimes twist. On a scale of Janka hardness Maple moves to the lower border.
Maple´s workability
Maple is fairly well machined, very well hammered nails into, satisfactorily reacts to gluing.
Maple´s principal uses
Maple is used to produce floors and building materials.
