Movingui, sometimes called Anyan or Nigerian satin wood, has yellow to orange-brown color. During time it has tendency darker. It has really significant structure, lightly curled and spotted, there is possibility that Massaranduba´s drawing is completely straight. It has fine texture, high nature luster and small open pores. It´s import mainly from West Africa.
Movingui´s properties
Movingui ranks among the more resistant woods, as against decay and attack termites. Dust from Movingui during cutting, may cause mild skin irritation. After finishing this irritation is already safe.
Movingui´s workability
Movingui ranks among the well-workable woods, its high silicon content, which amounts to 1.3% may carry a greater weight of the wood. Movingui tolerates all the finishing, gluing and staining. During processing gives Movingui mild flavor.
