Parquet surface overview

Without surface:

Unfinished, square edged. Pre-sanded.

Beveled:

With a prefinished wooden floor that is lacqured or oiled on a production line there will always be a micro bevel. This ensures that the oil or lacquer fully protects the board on its edges as well as preventing splintering of the edge during manufacturing.

Oiled:

An oil finish penetrates the wood fibers to harden them while not altering the natural beauty of the wood. With no visual film. They are easy to care for and are repairable. Varnished: Generally there are five layers of lacquer on the floor, and over perion of ten years the lacquer will wear away. Once this happens the entire floor will need to be sanded and then re-lacquered.Lacquers protect the wood from above by forming an impenetrable layer that keeps dirt, spillages and moisture away from the wood.

Steaming:

Steaming of wood runs between from 160 to 215 degrees C, which exceeds the autoignition temperature. This is possible due to heating by steam, which has a protective function. Those high temperatures are changing the features of the wood. The steaming process is used for regulation features of wood, based on expected future needs of the material.

Different processing time, technique and temperature of the process, there are many ways how to do it. By steaming we can achieve an increased resistant of rotting and improve its thermal conductivity, flexibility and stability. And how does the process work? There are many phases when wood goes from the first drying to final moisture. Wood goes through six handlers tunnels. The first four tunnels have task to prepare wood for heat steam treatment.

Last two tunnels cool down and moisture wood to final value. During this heat treatment of wood are featured of wood very significantly changed . Occur to break of hemicellulose, which is chemical chain of sugars which are required for growth of small organisms, like many kinds of mushrooms, it means that the wood becomes very resistant without using chemicals. Thanks to the change of heat conductivity, the steam treatment wood becomes great material for saunas. It´s an excellent thermal insulator. By changing the temperature during steaming, we can achieve different color woods.
